One in three working parents consider term-time jobs for better work-life balance

One in three working parents with young children would consider taking jobs that only required them to work during school term time to improve their work-life balance, according to a YouGov survey commissioned by Amazon. The survey of 2,500 working adults revealed that almost half of them wanted more flexibility in their work. The survey also found that 32% of parents with primary school-aged children and 27% of all parents with children under 18 would consider switching to a term-time contract. Additionally, 48% of respondents said they would like their bosses to give them more flexible working options. The survey also highlighted that flexible working is a priority for 72% of respondents when considering their next job.
