Women challenge failure to investigate judge

Three women are challenging the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office over its failure to investigate allegations of bullying against employment tribunal judge Philip Lancaster. The claimants allege Lancaster exhibited a “pattern of bullying” over seven years, affecting litigants. They argue that their complaints were dismissed without resolution, allowing Lancaster to continue his conduct. Emily Soothill, a partner at law firm Deighton Pierce Glynn, said evidence “suggests that this judge has engaged in misconduct in his judicial role over many years, including bullying, intimidation, gender bias and discriminatory conduct.”
